READ BELOW FOR DETAILS We’ve been making great progress at the bargaining table for the last 5 months, but soon, we’re about to head into what might be the toughest part of bargaining yet. We need your help in September – and the months beyond – to get us across the finish line. We are at a critical moment in the fight for Starbucks workers. With your help and the amazing organizing of baristas across the country, we were able to get the company to a major milestone this spring, allowing us to start negotiating our first foundational union contracts. This month, in a move to make the company stronger, Starbucks just invested heavily into recruiting a new CEO. It’s time to show this new CEO that in order to succeed, he needs to fully embrace the union and invest in workers through the bargaining process. It’s clear to us that the company pays attention to what allies and customers think, and when we all move to support workers, the company moves at the table – which is where YOU come in. SBWU is asking allies to host visibility & flyering events during Red for Bread weekend, September 20-23. Allies will join union baristas in action, and together we’ll show the sheer amount of public support there is for the union and call on the company to carry through with their promises in negotiations.
